Last updated: October 24, 2026. Showhouse is operated by Salal Hub LLC, a Seattle, Washington company, as a product of Cedar Collaborative. In this policy, “we” means Salal Hub LLC. You can reach us at hello@showhouse.live.
This page says what we keep about you, who can see it, who helps us run Showhouse, and what you can ask us to do. We have tried to use plain words. If something here is unclear, write to us and we will fix it.
What you give us
What comes from a theater. If a theater that uses Showhouse has your name, email and ticket details (for example a subscription), it may load them into Showhouse so you can see your tickets. They stay in the theater’s list. They do not create an account for you. Your account exists only when you sign in with a code sent to that address. See “Theaters” below.
What an AI service reads. We use an AI service from Anthropic in five ways. Three read only public web pages (the web page of a theater’s listing or of an audition source, and a search for a show’s details), and send no personal information. Two read text that a person pastes into Showhouse on purpose: a theater’s staff can paste a season announcement, and a member can paste a ticket receipt or a confirmation email so that the app can add their shows. A pasted receipt can contain your name, email address, address, order numbers and seats, and it is sent as you pasted it. Only paste what you are happy to share. We do not send a theater’s uploaded ticket-holder list, and we do not send ratings, plans or any other member information. We never send an image or a file, only text.
These services handle information only to provide Showhouse to us:
We do not sell your information. We may share it if the law requires, or to protect someone’s safety.
When a theater loads a list of its ticket holders, that list is the theater’s information, and we hold it on the theater’s behalf. A theater can export its list at any time. We do not use it to market to you. If you sign in with the address on your ticket, you become a member with your own account, and you can leave at any time. The theater keeps its own record of your tickets, so if you want it deleted there, you also need to ask the theater.
To run Showhouse safely we keep technical records. They are used to find and fix errors, to keep the service secure, and to see how the app is used. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
Once a week we make an encrypted copy of our database, which includes accounts, email addresses, ratings, plans and notes, and keep it in a private repository on GitHub. We keep the newest 12 copies. Older copies are removed from view but may remain in that repository’s history. Only the owner has access to that repository, and the passphrase is stored as a secret and in the owner’s password manager. A deleted account can therefore remain in a backup for up to 12 weeks.
Our services store information in the United States. If you live in Canada, your information is transferred to and stored in the United States, where it may be accessed by US authorities under US law. We are responsible for the information we hold, we collect it only for the purposes in this policy, and we ask for your consent when you create an account and when you choose optional features. You can withdraw consent by deleting your account. Canadian members can ask us for access to and correction of their information and can complain to us at hello@showhouse.live, and to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in British Columbia, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
We send sign-in codes. Other emails (a welcome message, a monthly summary, an optional weekly roundup, approvals and notices) are described in Settings, and you can change or stop them there. We send no marketing for other companies.
We keep your account information while you have an account. When you delete your account, we remove your login and your personal information: your profile, plans, want list, follows, friendships, lists, notes, discounts, benefits, comments, reviews, and the records tied to you. If you choose, we keep your star ratings without your name or any link to you, as “A former member”, so that averages stay accurate. Shows and theaters you added to the shared catalog stay, with your name removed. A theater’s own ticket list keeps its record of you. Copies in backups are removed as described above.
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, give you a copy, or delete your account. Today, you can download your diary (what you have seen, want to see, your ratings, reviews and private notes) from Me; for anything else, write to hello@showhouse.live from the address on your account. We will reply within 30 days. You can change most details yourself under Me and Settings.
If you live in a place with its own privacy law (for example California, or Canada, including British Columbia), you may have further rights. We will honor them.
Showhouse is for people 16 and older. The invite request form asks you to confirm it.
We protect your information with sign-in by emailed code (no passwords), access rules enforced in the database itself, encrypted connections, encrypted backups, and by limiting who can see what. No service is perfectly safe. If something happens that affects your information, we will tell you and say what we are doing about it.
If we change this page in a way that matters, we will tell members in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top says when it was last updated.
