For presenters
Showhouse is where friends decide what to see, pick a night and go together. For presenters, it’s a page your audience already uses, and a set of tools that take the busywork out of the box office, so your staff can spend more time on the show.

82.3%
Most people go to a show to spend time with someone. In the National Endowment for the Arts’ 2017 data, 82.3% of in-person arts attendees said socializing with friends or family was a reason they went. On Showhouse, the friend is already there: members see who else wants to see your show, and join each other’s nights.

Working today
Claim your page and keep your dates, venue and details right. Members follow you and see what you have coming up.
Your shows sit beside the friends who want to see them, so one person’s Want to see can become a group’s night.
Members rate and review shows, always beside the number of people who rated, with an average only once two or more have. A rating from a member who says they worked on the show is flagged and left out of the average. Private plans and notes stay private: we never share them with theaters or artists.
Actors, playwrights, directors, designers and dancers can claim their profiles, add a photo and share what they’re working on, and members follow them from show to show. Members who follow an artist in your cast find your show on that artist’s profile.
In beta
Subscribers pick and move their own nights from the dates you open, and your box office approves each change in one click. No more chains of emails to find a night that works.
Check in one ticket at a time and undo a mistake. Check-ins keep working if the lobby Wi-Fi drops and sync when it returns; adding a walk-up needs a connection for now. Print it as a backup if you like paper.
Admin, Box office and Door, so each person sees what they need on show night.
Load your ticket holders from a spreadsheet export. Your ticketing system stays as it is; Showhouse sits beside it.
Exploring
We’re working out these next, with the theaters and companies that want them:
Offers for members who want to see your show: a discount or an extra, sent in the app to members who marked Want to see. You see how many took you up on it, never who marked it.
Selling tickets through your own Stripe account, so the money goes straight to you.
Subscriptions friends can split, discounts and promo codes.
Connecting to your ticketing platform, wherever it lets us.
If one of these would help you, tell us. It moves up the list.
Free while we pilot. When ticket sales arrive: a small monthly fee, and no per-ticket fees from us. You pay only the card fees on your own Stripe account.
We price Showhouse to cover what it costs to run. Your ticket revenue stays yours.
The people on your ticket list belong to your theater. You can export them any time, we never market to your patrons, and ticket holder data is never sent to an AI service.
Read our data note for theatersShowhouse is made in Seattle by Cedar Collaborative. We come from new works theater and dramaturgy, contemporary dance, and years of subscriptions to all of it. We’re a friend of the artist as much as the fan, and we built Showhouse to make your work easier.
Write to us and tell us how your box office works today. We’ll tell you plainly what Showhouse can do for you now, and what’s still coming.
